Director (P&BD) chairs 20th GC & 15th GB meeting of SDI, Bhubaneswar Society; welcomes Director (HR) as the new Chairman of SDI-B
The 20th Governing Council (GC) and 15th General Body (GB) meeting of the Skill Development Institute, Bhubaneswar (SDI-B) Society was held on March 19, 2024, at SDI, Bhubaneswar. The meeting was chaired by Mr Sujoy Choudhury, Director (P&BD), who is the Chairman of SDI-B. Ms Rashmi Govil, the newly-appointed Director (HR), IndianOil, also attended the meeting virtually. The representatives of Director (HR) from HPCL, ONGC, OIL, GAIL, HPCL and EIL also attended the meeting. From SDI-B, Mr Sanjay K Srivastava, CEO & Secretary, Mr Ranjan Bhowmick, CEO Designate, Mr Arun K Pradhan, CFO & Treasurer and Mr Rajesh K Tripathy, COO were present on the occasion. In addition, Mr Amit Gupta, GM (Skill & OD) from IndianOil’s Corporate Office also attended the meeting. Chairman, SDI-B welcomed all members attending the meeting and thanked them for their continuous support. In his opening remarks, Mr Choudhury highlighted the good job being done by SDI-B as well as other SDIs in skilling unemployed youth and making them job-ready. He also underlined the need for more industry connections and reaching out to prospects beyond the boundaries. On account of the new appointment of Director (HR) in IndianOil, GC members unanimously approved the induction of Ms Rashmi Govil as a member of GC for SDI-B Society and Chairman of SDI, Bhubaneswar, with immediate effect. GC also approved the induction of Mr Rajeev Gupta (New Director in charge of HR), EIL, as a member of GC in place of Mr Ashok Kalra, who has superannuated. The outgoing Chairman of SDI-B, Mr Sujoy Choudhury welcomed the newly inducted Chairman, Ms Rashmi Govil and expressed his confidence that SDI-B shall reach great heights under the new leadership. Expressing her gratitude to Mr Choudhury, Ms Govil highlighted how his passion, enthusiasm and personal involvement helped the institute in traversing its path in the right direction. Earlier, Mr Sanjay K Srivastava presented the agenda, activities highlights and other key developments to GC & GB members.
