Director (HR) interacts with IOCians during ‘Paricharcha’ at Gujarat Refinery
“The combination of the latest infrastructure, technological advancements and an agile and competitive workforce are the most essential factors for the survival and growth of any organisation”, said Mr Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra, Director (HR), while addressing Gujrefins at an interactive session ‘Paricharcha’ during his recent visit to Gujarat Refinery. He congratulated the Gujarat Refinery team for its performance in Refinery operations, safety and HR initiatives. Mr Mohapatra shared the concept of three A’s - Agile, Adaptive and Alignment to mitigate the challenges posed by fast-changing dynamic energy scenarios across the globe. He stressed that to meet these global challenges, our HR policies need to be aligned to prepare our workforce, especially the Gen Z IOCians who are joining in large numbers. He said that traditional policies and approaches need to change to give way to newer ways of catering to young employees. While complimenting Gujarat Refinery team for its performance in ‘Swadhyaya’, Mr Mohapatra advocated for sustaining this self-learning activity and strengthening it through constructive contribution. Talking about the importance of well-being, Director (HR) emphasised on taking care of self, both mentally and physically and leveraging health and wellness-related benefits such as annual medical check-ups and emotional wellness platform ‘Paramarsh’. He further said that being part of the IndianOil family, we should have empathy and understanding with fellow colleagues. Director (HR) also called for efforts for greater equity for all and discussed some of the recent policy changes to address issues faced by women employees. Earlier, Mr Mohapatra was accorded a warm welcome to Gujarat Refinery by Mr Sanjaya Bhatnagar, ED & RH, Gujarat Refinery and Mr Rahul Prashant, ED (Technical). During the visit, Mr Mohapatra also had an interaction with the office bearers of IOOA-JR and Gujarat Refinery ‘Kamdar Sangh’. In his welcome address, Mr Bhatnagar said that Gujarat Refinery team is committed to ensuring uninterrupted refinery operations, along with safe and timely project execution, environmental stewardship and community development efforts, and above all, strictly following all safety norms and procedures. He affirmed Gujarat Refinery’s commitment to being a socially responsible corporate and contributing towards achieving the organisational goals. ‘Paricharcha’ witnessed enthusiastic participation from employees of Gujarat Refinery, Marketing and Pipelines, including newlyjoined officers, who actively engaged with Director (HR).
