Director (Refineries) unveils ‘Performance Highlights Booklet of Refineries Division’ during FY 2024-25 curtain raiser event at Refineries Headquarters
Complimenting team Refineries Division for a splendid performance during the previous financial year, Ms Sukla Mistry, Director (Refineries), said, “During the fiscal year 2023-24, the Refineries Division has set remarkable milestones, showcasing exemplary performance in multiple areas”, during the curtain raiser for Fiscal Year 2024-25, held today at Refineries Headquarters (RHQ). Director (Refineries) was joined by Executive Directors & Functional Heads of RHQ in the event, along with Refinery Heads and employees of the Refineries Division, who were connected to the event through the webcast. Lauding the relentless dedication, passion & commitment of all IOCians, Director (Refineries) said, “Apart from achieving a record crude throughput of 73.311 MMTPA with 104.5% capacity utilisation, we have also processed 3112.9 TMT of Naphtha at Panipat Naphtha Cracker, a record high surpassing the previous 3027 TMT. We have achieved the highest ever Petchem Production in most of our petrochemical units, and our capex stood at Rs 21,796 Crore, marking a 46% increase compared to the budgeted Rs 14,906 Crore.” Highlighting the achievements of FY 2023-24, Ms Mistry shared that the Division contributed to the ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ mission by introducing niche products such as India’s 1st Reference Gasoline and Diesel Fuel, Non-Ethanol XP100 and Storm - FIM compliant Cat 2 Fuel for the Asia Road Racing Championship. She further informed the audience that the team has also successfully commissioned key refinery projects and initiatives, including capacity expansion of Guwahati Refinery from 1.0 MMTPA to 1.2 MMTPA, Catalyst Manufacturing Unit at Panipat Naptha Craker, Naphtha Cracker Expansion (Phase-I), PX-PTA Revamp at Panipat Refinery, and the Catalytic Dewaxing Unit (CDW-II) at Haldia, which doubled the lube oil capacity with Group III base stocks. Reiterating the collective resolve of the corporation to achieve the two important visionary business targets of becoming ‘One Trillion Dollars Giant’ by 2047 in terms of Corporate Revenue and increasing our energy share from 9% to 12.5 % in nation’s energy pie, Director (Refineries) urged team Refineries Division to utilise every opportunity to pursue innovation, explore new avenues for growth, and deliver exceptional results to realise the vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
